Great weekend for Deep Run Team  Cedarview Searching for Blue "Reacher" Derby 1st  Deep Run Stingray MH (now) QAA "Ray" At the Tidewater Retriever Club Hunt Test this weekend, our two entries both got Passes at the Master Level. Many thanks to judges Robbie Griffin and Doug Hunter who set up a great test and judged all the entries. Thanks to Tidewater Retriever Club for putting on a great event, and all the volunteers who made it possible.

U GCH CH Deep Run Sam Spade JH (Bogie) completes 4 of 4 events to earn his Junior Hunter Title  Deep Run Blizzard, JH completes 4 for 4 events and earns his Junior Hunter Title  Deep Run Diamond Jim (Jimmy) completes 3 events and earns his Junior Title  Deep Run Hot Blooded (Fever) completes 4 of 4 events , earns her Junior Title  GCH CH U CH Deep Run Ballyhoo completes 3 legs toward his title Deep Run Tarpon at Secret Ponds completes 2 Senior legs toward his Senior title Dear Phyllis & the entire "DRF" Team, I’m extremely proud to share the news that "Our" (yours and mine) "Hudson" has been inducted into the NJ Veterinary Medical Association’s "Hall of Fame"! Having looked through the "Kudos" section of the DRF website, I didn’t see a mention of an HOF’er. Of course it would be a tremendous additional honor to learn if in fact Hudson turns out to be DRF’s first such honoree! Here’s a link to his induction video that the NJVMA had their videographers put together that was presented to the entire group at their annual convention here in NJ. At the end of the HOF video you’ll also see our "Bourbon" make an appearance with Hudson. As noted in the video, she’s following in Hudson’s footsteps now and hopefully down the road we’ll be able to share with you and the extended DRF family her own special achievements! Attached are just several pictures I think you’ll enjoy looking through, and there are a lot more in the following link. Here’s a link to the 52 page document I had put together detailing Hudson’s career, beginning from the day he went through his last workout/training session at Deep Run Farm. This was the attachment to his HOF application that the Selection Committee told me was the finest and most compelling attachment they had ever received. Finally as you’ll see, Hudson and I have had a truly, impressive, inspiring, and gratifying career together, with wonderful far-reaching effects on the lives of 100s of children, first responders and current and retired veterans over the years. Needless to say finding Deep Run in 2009 turned out to have a profound effect on my life and the volunteer life Hudson and I have shared together since then! My best to all of you! Gene 
 
Black River Seaside's Good Timing Man (WAYLON) won the Open at the Cape Fear Trial March 13-14, 2020 handled by Alan Pleasant and completing his FC.Many thanks are owed to Alan and Gwen Pleasant and Hunter Street of Black River Retrievers for making this happen. Dear friends – Yesterday we traveled to Mullins, SC to meet up with our friends and hand over an absolutely awesome and wonderful black lab, Rainy. I requested from a breeder friend in Virginia an older lab that would just maybe be a good service dog for Lt. Clebe Clary. She gave me this awesome dog. I want you to know that the Lord has truly had His hand and direction in all of this. We all gathered around Rainy, holding hands and touching her, while Wally gave an inspirational and wonderful prayer. Lt. Clebe has written several books and miraculously survived a horrible grenade attack as a Marine in VietNam. He goes around and gives inspirational talks praising the Lord for his survival. When I read about the accident and his stay in military hospitals for 2 years, I’m amazed at how he survived. You can see the result of those injuries here.She was so easy to train to do certain tasks to help Clebe as his service dog. I take no credit in the training …. There was a power far higher and greater than my skills. I already miss her and her very sweet ways, her desire to learn and help. I truly feel blessed and lucky to be just a little part of this whole adventure.  CH Deep Run Just Jesse Placed second in the Back Bay Qualifying on Dec 9.  CH Deep Run Ballyhoo CH Deep Run Ballyhoo is a Grand Champion Billy finished his Grand Champion Title in style, with a Major Select win over multiple specials at the Bluegrass Classic in Kentucky. Many thanks to Devon Kipp who handled Billy to his Champion and Grand Champion titles in less than three months!! BIlly will be coming home to work on his hunt test titles soon.  Deep Run In The Money MH....Bingo Won second place at the Back Bay Retriever Club Trial on April 27. Bingo is now Qualified All Age Deep Run Return To Sender completed his Master Hunter Title, also at Back Bay, on April 29. Littermate Deep Run Maybelline got a Senior Pass.  Deep Run Ballyhoo (Billy) went Winners Dog at Middle Peninsula in January. Many Thanks to Angie Lloyd for her superb care and handling.  Deep Run Moondog CD RE MH Q2 NDL won a First Place in his class and a qualifying score in December to complete his CDX title with two Firsts and a Third Place. November 18 - 20 was a Great Weekend for Deep Run Dogs!  Haze (Deep Run Moondog CD RE MH QA2 NDL) Qualified in Open Obedience both days this weekend, with a Third and First Place Placements. One more to go for CDX! November 11 - 12 was a Great Weekend for Deep Run Dogs! Back Bay Knotts Island Field Trial Deep Run in the Money MH wins Third Place in the Qualifying.

 CH Deep Run Good Time Charley JH completed his GRAND CHAMPION title. Many thanks and much gratitude to handler Angela Lloyd for her guidance and management of Charley's Show Career.  Deep Run Ida SH completed her Master Hunter Titile. Ida qualified in 5 of her 6 Master Tests.  Deep Run Running Rogue SH Qualified to receive her third Master Pass. Thank you to DelBay Hunt Test Judges Fred Perini and Christian Ricker.  Deep Run Ida SH won Third Place in the MidAtlantic Qualifying Trial September 29.  U CH Deep Run Jonathon won his class Wed, Thur and Sunday at the AKC shows in Millwood VA.  On his first weekend out as a Special, CH U-CH Deep Run Good Time Charley, JH won two Best of Breeds and two Select Dog awards, giving him a great start toward his Grand Champion Title. Fredericksburg Dog Shows January 11-15, 2017 Deep Run Dogs started off the new year with a Bang!! Showing in Conformation. Deep Run Ballyhoo (Billy) won his Puppy Class 5 out of 5 days! Billy's sire is Am/Can CH Deep Run Casablanca CD RA MH, his dam is Deep Run Dahlia of Kaleef Thanks to Stacy Einck Paul for her great handling. Deep Run Good Time Charley placed in his large, very competitive Am Bred class every day. The highlight of the week was his winning the Am Bred Class, going Winner's Dog for a 5 point major, and going on to Best of Winners, Best of Breed over Specials, and making the cut in a tough Sporting Group. Many thanks to Angie Lloyd for her presentation of Charely in the Breed and to Lisa Miller for showing Charley off to his best in the Group Ring. In Rally Deep Run Moondog RN MH QAA NDL completed his Rally Advanced Title with a 3rd Place and went on to get his first Rally Excellent leg with a 4th place. Haze was handled by Phyllis in Rally. Bingo completed his title with five consecutive passes. Haze, Deep Run Moondog, is High Point Yellow Male Derby Dog for 2015.  Haze earned his first Derby points with a Win handled by owner Phyllis Giroux. He is eligible to run a few more Derbies in 2016, then will be heading back to Virginia to continue his career. Squeezy's sister, Deep Run Black Dahlia of Kaleef, took a major win under respected Sporting Dog Judge Doug Holloway with handler Kent Boyles. The first weekend in November, Deep Run Sam Spade (Bogie) completed his UKC Championship, with 4 class wins, and going Winners dog and Best of Winners in three shows.

 Deep Run Celebration (Party) got 5 class wins, and a Best Female award.  Bronze GCH, CH Deep Run Lemon Squeezy of Kaleef won 4 Major Selects in 4 consecutive shows in Michigan with Handler Kent Boyles. Summer of 2015 It has been an exciting summer here at Deep Run Farm On Jun 12, Deep Run Moondog (aka Haze) won the Back Bay Knotts Island Derby, handled by Phyllis. Haze was purchased last November from Hidden Acres Kennels in Monticello Mn. Haze was trained by Marc Patton.    In July Dunbar Watermark Red Prince (Harry) was handled to his Championship by Roxanne Sutton, finishing with four major wins, including a Terrier Specialty. We are grateful to Joan Kefeli, Dunbar Norwich, for allowing us to have this exciting young dog. Also in July, GRCH CH Deep Run Lemon Squeezy of Kaleef, completed the requirements for her Bronze Championship, handled by Kent Boyles and co-breeder/owner Sheree Moses. 
On August 23, Haze won his second Derby at the North Dakota Retriever Club Field Trial handled by Marc Patton. This put Haze on the National Derby list at 18 months of age.!! On August 23, Lick Creek Deep Run Sir Henry of Meadowville, owned by Scott Smith, completed his Junior Hunter Title at the age of 9 months. Henry is the son of GMHRCH Silverbrook Return To Sender MH (Elvis), the result of a frozen semen breeding to Lick Creek's Quack Attack MH. Henry was handled by Phyllis. 
 Weekend of December 6-7, 2014 Deep Run Mad Hatter MH completed his MHU title, making hi the first chocolate to have Master Hunter Titles in both the Retriever and Flushing venues. Hatter's MHU On the same weekend, Am/Can CH Deep Run Casablanca completed his Senior Hunter Upland Title. Casey's SHU Deep Run Virginia Hospitality MH (Howdy) got three Senior Passes toward his SHU title. Howdy Senior Passes Deep Run Smokin' Joe got 2 Junior passes. Joe's Upland Passes November Another successful Deep Run Retreiver Team weekend! Senior passes on Deep Run Black Pearl JH, Shady Grove's Deep Run Two Step, and Deep Run Duffy McD JH owned by Keith and Barbara McDonald Two Junior passes each on Deep Run Evening Star, Deep Run Business Class, and Deep Run Irish Rose owned and handled by Richard Shields, completing her Junior title. September Grand Champion Caer Bren Darby won a Best of Breed at the Chesapeake Va dog show under respected judge Michael Faulkner.  Deep Run Mad Hatter MH completed his Upland Senior Hunter Title by going 5/5 passes, as well as gaining his second Master pass toward his Master Title. Update on Grand Champion Caer Bren Darby Darby is having a spectacular summer run, winning Group Placements, multiple BOB, BOS, and Select points. July At the Independence Cluster in West Friendship MD On July 3, CH Deep Run Lemon Squeezy of Kaleef went Best of Opposite under Judge Sharon Lyons. On July 4, Squeezy went Best of Breed under Charlie Olvis and on to a Group IV under Col Jerry Weiss. Squeezy was cobred with Sheree Moses, who handled her to these exciting wins. The weekend of March did not go out like a lamb at the Tidewater Hunt Test. A weekend of rain, wind and cold was challenging for the dogs, handlers and judges. Special thanks to judges Peggy Bauman and Kathy Heintel for sitting out in the weather and setting up tests and judging all the dogs. The Tidewater crew did a great job of getting and keeping things everything going despite overwhelming weather. Am/Can CH Deep Run Casablanca MH completed his championship by winning a 4 point major under respected judge Gene Blake.
Deep Run Casablanca MH recently spent three days in Canada where he completed his Canadian Champion. His wins included two Best of Breed wins, one under respected Breeder Judge Manolo Queijeira, and a Group Third. See Casey Group Third win picture.

Deep Run Casablanca MH recently spent three days in Canada where he completed his Canadian Champion. His wins included two Best of Breed wins, one under respected Breeder Judge Manolo Queijeira, and a Group Third. See Casey Group Third win picture.

Bronze GCH Belquest Deep Run Easy Peasy received an Award of Excellence under highly respected Judge Beth Sweigert at the Eukanuba American Dog Show in Orlando in December 2011.
Easy continues her winning ways!! Easy went Best Opposite Sex on Thursday 11/17, then Best of Breed 11/18, 11/19, 11/20 at the prestigious Philadelphia Shows. Easy's Win earned her a spot on the televised version of the Philadelphia Show!

Our young field trial dog, Watermark Ticket To Ride, call name Trip, won the Derby at Brazosport RC this weekend. This was Trip's fourth Derby, he has previously received a Reserve JAM and a 3rd place.

At National Capital on July 6, Deep Run Fashion Statement (Paris) went Best of Breed from the classes under Carmen Battaglia handled by Sheree Moses. Congratulations to Caer Bren Ben who went Winners Dog every day at the Independence Cluster. Ben is a son of Hero owned and handled by Jackie Mischou.
