MARYLAND GUN DOG CHAMPIONSHIP
On December 3, Jack and Phyllis traveled to Trappe, MD to compete in the Maryland State Gun Dog Championship, sponsored by the Maryland Waterfowlers Association (mdwfa.org). They competed against some of the top dogs on the east coast, Field Trial dogs, Hunt Test dogs and top notch hunting dogs. Both dogs were among the 6 finalists, Phyllis placed 3rd with GMHR Deep Run After Six, MH (Buddy) and Jack placed 4th with MHR Deep Run Jailhouse Rock, MH (Rocky). Both Buddy and Rocky were bred, born, raised, and trained at Deep Run Farm. Both dogs are hunted by Jack and Phyllis in Virginia and Maryland, and wherever the birds beckon. We are proud of our homegrown boys!
